Not exactly what I was expecting. Ididn't know there were that many verses. It brought back some beautiful old memories. I remember singing this song around Thanksgiving, and in reading it, I could remember our sweet little voices ringing out.

Finally, we'll know the words to the song! We seldom get snow here, and unless the children have traveled, they rarely see it. Gives us a chance to share our experiences. I even rode is a one-horse open sleigh when I was a pre-teen. The story is wonderful and the illustrations make it come alive.

This is a delightful book, and so nice to know all the verses for this song that I heard only the 1st verse a lot growing up.The pictures are detailed and my 2 1/2 year old now sings "oh dear the children are here, bring a pie for everyone."Definitely a holiday tradition in the making at our house.
