My Irish eyes were smiling when I was given this ceramic Irish Soda Bread Baking Dish. After I baked the recipe printed on it, a new Kelly family tradition was born. I've tasted many an Irish Soda bread in my life, and this recipe makes the best. Amazingly, it's also the easiest, and you can't beat the presentation! The dish itself is beautiful with its intricate Celtic knot detail sculpted in ceramic, a Claddagh ring design encircling the recipe in the center, and the pearlized finish on the trim. With its metal display stand, you may want to show it off all year. You can always use it for small casseroles and deep dish pies any time of year. It's dishwasher-, oven-, and microwave-safe. Start a St. Patrick's Day tradition in your family!

This is the second time this gift has been ordered for a wedding shower - absolutely perfect for an Irish bride-to-be.

It was smaller than I thought it would be but very pretty.

I bought this as

I bought this as a gift for a friend who is Irish, loves Irish culture, and is a gourmet cook, having won many cooking prizes.I do not know how good the receipe is, as she just received and hasn't made it yet but the dish seemed like good quality and it makes a very nice presentation with the stand to use for display when not using it in the kitchen. The dish was much smaller than I imagined it would be, but perhaps that is the size that one normally bakes soda bread, but I am not sure.It would seem like a lot of work to bake such a small loaf - so perhaps the real intent is for display.

Nice weight, sturdy, solid,

Nice weight, sturdy, solid, undoubtedly conducts heat well. The recipe is questionable. It's supposed to be an "authentic" Irish soda bread, but it includes sugar, eggs, and vanilla. That is not very traditional. It is attractive.I'd love it if it were a darker green.I bought it to give as a gift to an Irish friend.I am not giving to her for the above reasons.

This is a lovely addition to our St. Patrick's Day traditions . . .

Every year I make

by -

Every year I make Irish Soda bread and collect recipes seeking the best.I have had inconsistent success.I bought this pan, thinking it would be decorative for a festive display. It is very lovely. While the recipe was similar to others that I have, it was tweaked a little towards the side of perfection.I admit I was hesitant to actually bake in this dish.It is just too beautiful and I was afraid that it would be hard to clean. It cleaned quickly and simply and the bread is the best ever!My dad said it even surpassed his Irish neighbor's and he's been enjoying hers for years. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful product!I love it.

I just received this

I just received this for my birthday from my mother, as she knows I love to cook. It is such a beautiful dish! I woke up this morning to the lovely smell of baking bread and raisins and found that my husband had surprised me with an Irish soda bread breakfast! What a wonderful recipe! It is so simple and quite delicious. The dish itself has a nice weight to it and is much more beautiful in person. What a great gift for any cook, Irish or not!

I'd been eying this

by -

I'd been eying this for over a year & finally decided to order it. Not only is the dish a beautiful display piece -- love the little stand it comes with -- the easy recipe is delish! I was a bit skeptical since my other soda bread recipes do not contain egg or melted butter, but it tasted wonderful & rose even higher than the one pictured! Luck of the Irish! Me thinks it was the dish!

This baking dish is as beautiful as it is functional. I have used it a half a dozen times in the days before the 17th and its performed wonderfully. It is easy to clean & it looks great sitting on my hutch waiting for the next loaf to be baked. Having the recipe printed right on the dish is just the "icing on the bread"!

A gift for me, I have wanted this since I first saw it in your catalog. I am from Ireland and have never seen anything like this there, so I decided to get one for myself. The soda bread is a big difference from what we have in Ireland, but the dish is beautiful and worth waiting for.
