interlocking blocks

These blocks are lovely quality, and are wonderful to build with. It does take a while for the oil they are coated with to rub in and off, so i suggest polishing them with a clean cloth before playing with them the first time. I agree with another review, get several sets for the best building experience, but you can make small things with the starting set.

I'd been wanting these blocks for a couple of years, but they always seemed to be on backorder, so when I saw they were on sale I jumped at the chance. Knowing how blocks are (you need a lot of them to be able to do anything really cool) and having two kids (10 & 7) I bought 4 sets right away. My kids played with them for two days straight, making stables for their horses, houses, etc. They do not 'lock in' as Legos do, but hold together better than regular blocks, and unlike Legos, they can be built to curve. What would really be cool is if they had 'one blocks' in order to finish corners on buildings in a proper brick style; window sills that are finished on top (no pegs sticking up) and other 'finishing' pieces, such as some roof blocks. They could include less arches (which are perfect for windows and doorways) and add in those others. Even without that, they are still really cool blocks, but you really do need a lot of them to make anything really neat, such as a house (not unlike Lincoln Logs).

My son received two sets of 96 blocks for Christmas when he was three and two years later he still loves them and plays with them regularly. These blocks 'grow' with the child, as she/he can create more complicated architecture with skill and imagination. The wood is beautiful and they are clearly well made and will last for generations. I would recommend these to any child.

I purchased these for my father-in-law. He is in the later stages off alzheimers. He enjoys building with them, they are easy to manipulate. They keep his attention for 15 minutes (longer than most games/activities) and he can start a building and come back to it later. Thanks so much and please consider an area in your catalog for items that special adults may enjoy.

These blocks are great and get used for all sorts of imaginative play. My only suggestion is to get a lot (more than you would think you need). With four kids, there never seems to be enough!

I haven't given them to my grandson yet, so can't say from a child's point of view, but I think they are great. The blocks fit together really well. They are nice to the touch, and great looking as well.

We bought 3 sets to allow for more building options. Very pleased. My only suggestion would be to add more 3-peg blocks.

These are beautiful, high-quality blocks that can be used multiple ways. We bought two block sets right away to increase the play potential.

As a pediatric palliative care hospice volunteer, I have used a small set of these blocks for 3 years with a family of 4 children. Weekly, I arrive with an assortment of toys including these blocks, and the only complaint from the children has been that there aren't enough. So recently I bought another set, and finally there were enough to build castles, homes for pigs, battlement towers, etc. Of all the toys I take for my weekly visits, these blocks are the only ones that get played with every time. we love these blocks!!!

My order arrived in a timely manner. The blocks were exactly what we wanted for our grandchildren.

Nice blocks. Made in USA. But best as a choice for older builders..

My son loves these blocks. He likes that they are smaller than his unit blocks and he can build little "castles" and "cabins"

These blocks are of excellent quality and extremely well made. The children love to build with these blocks so I have two big sets so they can construct large structures. I would recommend this item for anyone looking for quality building materials.
