This set of wooden cable cars and a station is a great science kit for teaching your kids about simple machines in an entertaining and industrious way with plenty of play value. This kit includes a "station" which makes it possible to run the two included cable cars as a shuttle. Older children will enjoy the first step of assembling the models and setting up the pulley system. Younger children (and everyone else) will enjoy sending blocks and anything else up and down the line, whether that's outside from tree to tree, or from different points in the house.

Fun project

Bought two of these, one for a 4 yr old and one for a 8 yr old. The 8 yr old really enjoyed putting it together and decorating the car. The 4 yr old really did not 'get it' and was not that excited. Once its put together kids do enjoy the idea of shuttling small objects. The cars are small and can't hold much weight, but its a cool project to work on with kids. very easy. Better for the older kids. Glad there are still wooden toys out there to find.
