Held up well
by Robin -
We live in the woods in the PNW and everything molds or mildews. This has held up really well. We got it as a gift and love it. The rope hasn't worn at all and the wood has benefitted from a good oiling but its still going strong!!

A friend of mine has one and my children had a BLAST on this horse! If only I had stronger trees in my backyard and deeper pockets...this is a great toy! Swinging is so great for children on many levels.

I bought this for my daughter when she was only 1. Although pricey, I loved the look and quality of it with it's mane and tail and chose this one above other similar looking brands that were cheaper in price because it was so adorable. The mane and tail makes it so much more believable as a horse. However, she was so little in it(18 pounds); my husband didn't think it looked safe, especially without a seat belt, and made me pack it up( he had no idea how much it cost!) I wanted to rig a little seat belt for it. I had extras from a swing that I had but never got around to it. Then, the next spring when she was a couple of months before 2, I pulled it out again and put her in it. She had grown into it! It no longer looked unsafe! It fit her perfect! And she loved, loved it! She just needed to grow into it! She always squeals for it when she is in it and when she wants to get in it and all the kids that see her one want to get into it. She wants to play on it everyday and it is hard to talk her out of getting out. My six year old still gets into it although it is a tight fit and hard to get out. He is small for his age as well. As the other reviewer said, it would be nice if it had deeper pockets or a way to get in it easier so that older kids could get in and out of it easier. As the rails that hold you in, one side is attached to the head so it is hard to get a taller and bigger child in and out. If the rail wasn't attached to the head and able to go up and down older children would be able to use it easily as it is quality hardwood and would be able to withstand the weight. My neighbor's child who is much bigger and weighs much more was three and was extremely difficult to get in and out( I want to say she was 40 or 45 pounds but could be wrong.) So, if you have a bigger child you can put them in right way once they are able to sit up. For a smaller child a would recommend rigging a seat belt. But for a smaller child it will last much much longer that the recommended age. I expect my daughter to be able to fit in it comfortably until she is least 4.

Beautiful and fun. We hung this inside and didn't use it a lot, so I'm thinking we will hang it outside for use with our second son. I wish it was usable for longer, but it is very nice a secure for smaller children. Will last for generations and it is easy to put up/take down as long as you have 2 large hooks. i love that it is wooden, and the mane is fun for kids to grab.

I don't know who loved it more, my 1 year old grandson or his 3 1/2 year old brother who enjoyed pushing him on it! Very well made as are all your products.

We gave this to our 1 year old for his first birthday and he loves it. It seems like just the right age for him to use it and it fit him great with extra room to grow into. It's pricey but I think toys that have lasting power often are.
