The lift, with its included staple box, goes up and down with a turn of the lever on the side so cargo can easily be loaded or unloaded from another vehicle, such as the flatbed truck. To steer the toy truck to the next site, just use the handle on the back to turn the rear wheels.

Beautiful, durable, and functional!

I love that this came with three figures (red, yellow, and blue) and a box for lifting. My 2.5 year old still struggles with the lifting mechanism, but it offers a nice challenge and s super durable. We use this toy for making clean-up fun (hauling toys to the right place), among other things. Very well made, and much larger than I imagined - this is a substantial toy!
