Try out a new medium for all sorts of craft projects. Using Decorating Wax to make festive candles is a creative project that both children and adults enjoy. With a little help, smaller children can make decorative pieces of wax using pattern cutters. They then press them onto a candle with the warmth of their fingers. Older children can use the pattern cutters or pinch off pieces of the wax sheets to make free-form designs.

candle decorating wax

I order this was each year for confirmation candidates to decorate candles to be used during their Rite of Confirmation. They carry lit candles out of the church at the end of the service, signifying that they are carrying the light (of Christ in our case) out into the world. It is very moving and the kids enjoy the activity of personalizing their candles before the event.

I LOVE these items! They will provide a creative,hands on craft experience for the young children I care for. They will enjoy being able to create something on their own, and share it with their parents. I am so happy to also receive a free packet of natural easter egg dye; a will use it with our family.
