This wooden building kit gives your child instructions for 17 (!) different types of bridges step by step. Included is a bit of history about each kind of bridge making this a great integrated history and science lesson for homeschoolers. This could be used as the foundation for a physics block, giving your child direct experience of some of the challenges of science in the physical world. The kit comes with a booklet with illustrations in German and a supplementary booklet in English. While the kit includes the specialized pieces that your child will need to build the bridges, they will also need a few items that you probably have around the house such as: glue and tape, cardboard, pencil and paper, toy cars and stones to use as weights, scissors, newspaper, a kitchen knife, a ruler, a glass jar with a lid, four nails and a hammer, a big book, a little wire and a rolling pin.
