Bottles last a long time, just a small amount added to water keeps my son busy for a long time and fills many pages! Worth the investment along with some real watercolor paper.

These are wonderful paints; my daughter's school uses them, and they have incredible color, no odor, and blend beautifully. You really can't go wrong, and will love the wonderful things you and your children can create.

We work with watercolors several times a week. I got these several years ago (primary colors only) and they are holding up wonderfully. The quality is unmatched and we just love these paints.

These watercolors are worth every penny. A set of six will make pretty much any color you want and a little goes a LONG way. I've had the same set for a few years now, and we paint quite a bit. As an artist, I have to emphasize the importance of having children work with quality materials in order to ensure a satisfying creative experience and finished product. A set of these along with a few good quality brushes would be a wonderful gift to a budding artist.

Exspensive but Worth Every Penny

I use nothing but stockmar watercolor paints. The colors and vibrancy are spectacular. Yes they are expensive, but they last forever. I dilute the colors for my youngest with water and my oldest uses them by diluting them with the water on her brush or paper. Use the jars with lids to store the diluted paint. They can get a little stinky after awhile, especially the blue (think rotten eggs) so I keep them in the fridge to preserve them.

A little goes a long way and these last (seemingly) forever. You can make the colors very diluted or saturated and they paint well either way. I have not noticed much fading with time on the pictures hanging in a sunny room. I have stored paints in the fridge and on shelves for months and with some stirring, they're as good as the 1st time I mixed them. Just make sure to stir well or there may be some particles/colored sediment. They make great stocking stuffers for anyone.

We purchased the primary colors for our son at age 3 1/2. He has done well painting with one or two colors at a time. The paints mix up well and last for a long time. I couldn't be more pleased with the color quality.

Just one drop in a little jar of water is really all you need! We buy the smallest size in three colors and it lasts us all year. I store them upside-down, so they pour easier.
