interlocking blocks

SKU# 3260

In sets of 46 or 92 blocks, kids can build organically shaped structures using our Interlocking Blocks. Handmade by the villagers of Camphill Village, they have protruding dowels on top. The dowels fit into holes in the bottoms of the blocks. This allows children to build curved walls that will hold together rather than falling down with a toddler's sometimes clumsy touch. This set is an all-time favorite!

My boys (and yes, mama and papa too) play with these wonderful blocks all the time. They are so simple and can build anything!!
My boys have asked if they made a "super large" set so you could make sturdy forts...hhmmmmm.
If they get worn looking you can rub some olive oil on them and freshen them up.

I bought the small set of these for my 5 and 3 year old for Christmas, knowing that the baby could soon play too. They love building walls and forts for army men and small toys, and I love seeing them use their imaginations. The design is so great because they don't topple over easily and making curved walls is fun! Now just looking for an excuse to buy some more so we can build even bigger structures!

favorite 2 and 5 year olds

These blocks are one of my kids' most favorite toys. They have spent many hours creating houses, tunnels, castles, and towers. They are simple and well-made. As cliche as this may sound, I do think that they prefer these blocks over other toys because they are made of wood (sturdy, warm, natural material), and because it is an unstructured activity. There is no right way to play with them. In fact, they are such a favorite that we are buying another set so that they can create larger structures. I only wish that they came in more shapes and sizes.
