When assembling this stool, we had a bit of trouble getting the pieces to fit. We did eventually hammer them into place & that worked. It has served its purpose well as my children use the potty, wash their hands or brush their teeth. My only complaint is that it's difficult to clean - it seems to have absorbed dust & dirt & I can't get it off, even with a sponge & vinegar. However, I definitely prefer it to ugly plastic!
